This piece was composed and recorded yesterday, performed by me on piano. Yesterday morning, I read a Tweet from a music professor “Dear music theory masterminds: What’s the classiest way to get from A major to C major?” Having no time to send in my suggestion because I had to get my kids ready for summer camp, the two chords were ringing in my head the whole time I was preparing their lunch boxes. Later, I thought about this tweet again. Instead of suggesting the usual harmony progression from the music theory approach, I decided to compose something as my answer to this professor’s question. The entire piece is based on A major chords and C major chords. Hope you enjoy it!
