The tale of purple clay 阅紫砂

Hi everyone,

Thank you for subscribing to Wu Fei’s Music Daily. This is episode #423 — The tale of purple clay 阅紫砂.

This solo guzheng composition was created and recorded yesterday, performed by me. I would like share this newsletter with all my subscriber for free because I want to share this exciting book release that I am part of.

A few years ago, Abigail Washburn and I were invited by Princeton University to write an essay about our music as part of a book called Ways of Hearing — Reflections on Music in 26 Pieces. The contributors include the late Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, artist Laurie Anderson and many outstanding scholars, scientists, thinkers and poets. I am honored to announce that this book is being released today by Princeton Press.

The editor Scott Burnham will moderate an online event that I will be one of the panelists who have contributed writings in this book. It will be presented by the Washington D.C. bookstore Politics and Prose.

You can register for the event here, or buy the book from Princeton University Press, or order it (hard copy and kindle) on Amazon by entering the book title.

Thank you all very much for your support!
