This piece was composed and recorded yesterday on two guzhengs single track. I continue to explore the multi-tonality and multi-timbre within one composition in one take of performance. It is an exiting learning process for my brain and my fingers to play two guzhengs at the same time.
After recording this piece, I took a hike on the sunny hills. We had a big storm last night in Nashville. Flood and tornado alarms from the city were going off several times throughout the night. The stream on the hill looks very different now. For the first time, I see these rocks in such bright colors after the soil being washed away by the heavy rain. Nature is powerful and magical!
