This is the 19th episode of Wu Fei’s Music Daily — Lonely Jackdaw 寒鸦戏水. It’s an ancient piece from Chaozhou 潮州 area in Guangdong province in China. The more conventional English translation of its name is “jackdaws” or “winter ducks frolicking in the water.”
I studied this piece from Professor Shi Zhaoyuan 史兆元 when I was 10 or 11 years old.
