I created this piece yesterday on multitrack guzheng, inspired by the honey fungi I saw in the forest (see photo below). I admire its delicious color.
Honey fungus spreads from living trees, dead and live roots and stumps by means of reddish-brown to black rhizomorphs (root-like structures) at the rate of approximately 3.3 feet (1 meter) a year. What a powerful little creature it is!
