This piece was created and recorded two days ago on multitrack guzheng. The melodic element is from Peking opera which was the traditional music culture that I grew up in. Like the dumplings, wherever I go in the world, they bring happiness and joy to me and my family. Hope this piece starts your week with fun ideas!

Photo taken in Bao Yuan Dumpling House 宝源饺子屋 in Beijing in 2014. It was our favorite dumping place when we lived in Beijing. I often took my 2-yr old then there for lunch. It was a few minutes walk from our apartment. How lucky we were!
