Big leaves

Happy Monday everyone,

This is the 23rd episode of Wu Fei’s Music Daily — Big leaves. It was recorded three days ago using prepared guzheng and voice. I prepared the guzheng by threading a flattened paper clip through sets of five strings in the mid range, and looping key rings onto individual strings in an octave lower.

Hope you all are having a relaxing long weekend!

A Palace Concert of Tang is a silk painting from the Tang Dynasty (618 to 907). The women were playing music, drinking tea and wine, and playing games. The guzheng player is in between the pipa (4 string lute) player and the sheng (mouth organ) player. This painting is currently in Taipei National Palace Museum. I hope to bring my whole family to visit the museum one day. It’s on the top of my bucket list.
