This composition was created ands recorded yesterday on multitrack guzheng and muted guzheng. I encountered an eastern newt yesterday. It was carrying a yellow spider while crossing a puddle (photo below).
Wikipedia says “Although eastern newts are widespread throughout North America, they, like many other species of amphibians, are increasingly threatened by several factors including habitat fragmentation, climate change, invasive species, over-exploitation, and emergent infectious diseases.”
