I saw a beautiful water skipper (aka Gerridae, water strider, water skeeter) in the creek yesterday. The shadow of the bug caught my attention first (photo bellow). The shape was unique. I still can’t figure out what the six patches of shadows are. I wrote and recorded this piece after I got home thinking about the shadow.
