This spring has been cold in Nashville compared to last year. It is the first year we’ve lived here that our crabapple tree did not blossom. There were probably no more than 80 flowers that came out, and then there was a cold snap. Last year there must have been more than a thousand blossoms.
The whole forest is not as colorful as usual. That makes the white azalea (photo below) extra precious as they are blossoming alone.
