The snow came down quickly and quietly in the morning yesterday. It went from nothing on the ground to an inch of snow in less than 10 minutes. I tried to listen to the sound of the massive snow flakes. I heard so much sound that my skin could feel the flakes dropping on the ground. The male red cardinals looked extra red and fat standing on the branches gazing into the forest. They must have seen so much more of the world than us humans. If I could be something else in my next life, I wish I could be a bird.
