This piece was created and recorded on guzheng, performed by me. Last Friday, we experienced a very scary moment when the quad-state tornado came through Nashville. It was at 3:30am when the tornado siren went off on my phone. I could hear the storm screaming louder and louder in the forest when I got my children out of their beds and ran downstairs. All kinds of crazy thoughts went through my head while I was waiting for the tornado to pass.
Since then, I have been following the very devastating aftermath in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Illinois. It was a massive tornado that swiped on top of us. We are extremely lucky to not be affected. I recorded this piece to share my condolence to the people who lost loved ones.
