It snowed last night in Nashville. I recorded this three-track guzheng night song while the snow was coming down. The scale I use in this piece is from Javanese gamelan music. I studied and played in both Balinese and Javanese gamelan ensembles for more than six years. It never snows in Indonesia. Somehow the snow takes my mind to the ocean…
