Happy Lantern Festival 元宵节快乐!

I have missed you! My performance with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra was mesmerizing. What a high note to kick off the year of the Snake!

I want to thank the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, maestra Naomi Woo who conducted all the pieces performed by featured fellow artists Stella Chen, Dashan 大山, and the Yang Yang Dance Studio.

A huge thank you to Mayor Olivia Chow, for attending the festivities and welcoming audiences to our very special Lunar New Year celebration.

I was overwhelmed by the immense reception after performing composer Tan Dun’s Zheng concerto with string orchestra. As an encore, I sang Wusuli Boat Song - a sweet folk lullaby from northeast China. Due to the musician union rule, we could not record the video of this concert. You can hear the song in today’s track. It is beloved by more than a billion Chinese people around the world. Happy Lantern Festival to you all!
