Mount Celestial 九仙山

Hi everyone,

This is the 12th episode of Wu Fei’s Music Daily — Mount Celestial.

Ancient Chinese poems were all sung out loud by the poets. Writing and singing poetry, along with music, painting, calligraphy, and playing Go, were the pursuits of Chinese scholars and intellectuals for more than a thousand years. I hope to echo and continue this lost ancient tradition.

The poem I sing is about nostalgia for a former life but feeling hopeful and connected to a beautiful new home.

江城子 - 前瞻马耳九仙山

Jiāng Chéngzǐ - qián zhān mǎ ěr jiǔ xiān shān

前瞻马耳九仙山。碧连天。晚云闲。城上高台，真个是超然。莫使匆匆云雨散，今夜里，月婵娟。

小溪鸥鹭静联拳。去翩翩。点轻烟。人事凄凉，回首便他年。莫忘使君歌笑处，垂柳下，矮槐前。
