#1044 — Guzheng of Dunhuang 敦煌之筝 | British Library

Shana Tova and happy Friday!

This week has been so busy that my recording schedule was interrupted a little bit. Thank you for your patience! My fingers were craving to play this morning. I just recorded this piece and hope it will take you into a calm weekend.

On October 28 at 7:15pm, I am debuting my solo performance in the UK in the British Library (photo below). I’m excited to have my composition “Lou Lan” featured for the 2024 exhibition “A Silk Road Oasis – Life in Ancient Dunhuang” at the British Library. Details and tickets are available on the library’s website here.

“Lou Lan” is available on my chamber work album YUAN on Tzadik Records.

Wu’s work evinces respect for tradition, an interest in what instruments can do, a strong sense of architecture, and good old fashioned showmanship.” — Allmusic.com review of album YUAN. Click here to read full review.

A special thank to China Database for Traditional Music 中国音网!

Hope to see you there!
