Dear all,
I would like to share an article about me called “Sino-Nashville Twang” by Rob Rushin-Knopf, published by Salvation South Magazine, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Rob has been a subscriber from the very beginning of the launch of Wu Fei’s Music Daily.
This article is an in-depth interview and review of my work including:
two Substack tracks #799 Baby San’r and #178 Mount Slingshot
one song from my solo record A Distant Youth (Forest Hills Records) and Wu Fei and Abigail Washburn (Smithsonian Folkways Recordings)
a video of the 2nd movement of my chamber orchestral work Hello Gold Mountain
a video of me playing next to a train, which is the featured piece of today (below). I named the video “Serendipity Improv 可遇不可求”
What I like about the article is that it covers a lot of things that have not been discussed in my previous interviews.
My upcoming concerts and projects are mentioned in the article including a childhood dream — performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra — we’re going to play my orchestral composition Hello Gold Mountain this fall at UNC Chapel Hill, in North Carolina!
Full article link is here.
Thank you all for your support!
