Hi everyone,
I have been recovering from a bad cold since I came back home on Sunday. Today, I am sharing a previous track with you. It was the #84 episode. The recording is from a work trip I made to Chengdu, Sichuan in 2013 when I lived in Beijing. It was recorded in Sichuan Conservatory of Music. You can click the link blew to listen to it. I also wrote about the history of this song, the connection with the old singers and the project in the post. The main singer Mr. Zhu in the recording (was 84 in 2013) has passed away a few years ago.

Crab Song
Thank you for subscribing Wu Fei’s Music Daily! This is the 84th episode — Crab Song. Crab Song (螃蟹歌) is a folk song from Zigong (自贡) in Sichuan. It was traditionally sung by workers who specialized in transporting large rocks down from quarries in the mountains. The song is sung in Sichuanese dialect.
Hope I didn’t give you the bad cold. I enjoyed the crab song a lot though;) hope you are good to travel soon
