Dear subscribers,

Thank you very much for your patience! I am back home from an intense and successful two-week tour in Europe. My new ensemble - House of Wu Fei premiered in Ha Concerts in Gent, Belgium in 2024.

This time, we drove from Belgium to Sweden and back with 4000km in total and played nine concerts - two in Belgium, two in the Netherlands and four in Sweden. Our tour manager, former director at Ha Concert Wim Wabbes drove most of the tour. Wim is also responsible for connecting me to the three brilliant musicians - Louise van den Heuvel (bass), Dijf Sanders (electronics) and Simon Segers (drums). Wim drove a brand new van, carrying our own backline, eating vegetarian, be conscious about waste, buy and eat local.

Big thanks to the Europe Jazz Network Green Pilot Tour, Ha Concerts (BE) and all the venues involved - Paradox in Tilburg (NL), BIMHuis in Amsterdam (NL), Victoria Teatern in Malmö (SE), Jazz I Halmstad (SE), Musik I Lerum (SE), KLUBB Impuls Atalanta in Gotenburg (SE) , Nona in Mechelen (BE), and Swedish partner Knutpunkt for making this tour possible!

The musicians - Louise Van Den Heuvel, Dave Dijf Sanders and Simon Segers and myself became a solid ensemble and friends. The music grew every day after every concert.

We’ve been playing the game The Mind. The game requires a lot of concentration as a group to win. There are total 10 levels. We finished level 7. On the last day of the tour, we gave the game as a gift to Wim. Next time, we will take on the rest of the levels!
