About Wu Fei and the Music Daily audio newsletter
Get a freshly improvised or composed piece of music each weekday in your inbox and access to all my archives.
I am Wu Fei, a classically trained composer, singer, and performer of the guzheng—the 21-string Chinese zither.
If you subscribe to my paid newsletter, you get a piece of original music in your inbox five days a week, and two days a week if you have a free subscription. (But I sometimes take days off when I am traveling!)
You can find a detailed bio, videos, and music at WuFeiMusic.com, but in brief: I studied at the China Conservatory and Mills College in Oakland. Music has taken me around the world to venues like the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Lincoln Center in New York, the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, and the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango concert hall in Bogotá.
My work includes commissioned compositions for classical orchestras, solo concerts of improvised, composed, and traditional music, and collaborations with individual musicians and groups from all over the world and many different musical traditions.
You get taste of all of that in my newsletter. Please sign up below:
