#673 — Turkey tail 火鸡蘑

There have been a lot of turkey tail mushrooms in the forest of west Nashville (photo below). Turkey tail is a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Meaning 'of several colors', versicolor reliably describes this fungus that displays a variety of colors. For example, because its shape and multiple colors are similar to those of a wild turkey. I decided to create / record this vocal and guzheng multitrack piece after being fascinated by these colorful fungi!

Recording vocal multitrack songs all by myself is hard. It requires a very different set of skills. Hope you enjoy this track. I made it a free track for everyone today because I don’t get to do this kind of recording often. In Chinese we say “嗓子在家 my voice was home”, used often by traditional opera singers to express their voice feeling good.
