Happy Monday everyone,
Thank you for subscribing to Wu Fei’s Music Daily. This is episode #490 — In my pitches 字里行间.
This piece was created yesterday, performed by me on partly prepared guzheng. I had a fun time watching the birds eating on our bird feeder the last few days. Their interaction with each other while they ate was quite interesting. There were timid birds. There were brave birds. One day, I saw a chubby bird hanging upside down on our feeder. I thought the bird had become friendly with us and being playful. After about a minute, it was still hanging there in the same position and not flying away when we moved closer to the window to observe it. The birds usually fly away as soon as they feel the humans inside being close to them. My daughter was watching the bird the whole time as well. She realized there was something wrong with the bird. The bird was not playing at all. One of its legs got stuck in between the metal wires of the feeder that were were supposed to help birds to grasp with their claws when they eat. I rushed out to help the poor thing. Before I could put my hands on the bird, it got itself out of the wires and flew away out of desperation. The bird was ok. It flew back to the feeder later in the day. Afterwards, I recorded this piece.
Hope you are starting an interesting and a calm week.
