#1042 — The migrating bird 万羽之歌

1

Happy Monday everyone,

It took a few takes for me to power through this song, singing and playing. It is inspired by a Sani people’s folk song from Yunnan province in China. And then my original song Ping Tan jumped in my head. Hope this song gives you energy to start the week!

For friends in London:

Hope to see you at one of my upcoming performances in October:

  • October 28 The British Library Pigott Theatre

A Silk Road Oasis: Life in Ancient Dunhuang.

Time: door 6:00pm. Show 7:15pm

Concert detail and tickets click here

  • October 29 SOAS University of London SOAS Gallery

Time: 1-2pm

Wu Fei's solo guzheng/vocal suite “Moon Hunter” draws on the singing form of ancient Chinese poetry. Fei’s original work and improvisations will be woven together with traditional guzheng repertoire, folk songs, and Chinese opera, taking inspiration and influence from the old to create the new. There will be a QA at the end.
